Lila M. Krueger, 105, of Tampa, Fla., passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Inspired Living Tampa.
Lila was born in Lake Villa, Ill. to Charles and May (nee Ewing) Nelson. Her early life was spent in Honey Creek. She graduated from the Racine County School of Agriculture in Rochester. On Jan. 14, 1939, she was united in marriage to Donald Krueger. They lived in Wisconsin until 2001, when they moved to Tampa. Donald preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 2010.
Lila worked at Master Lock in Milwaukee during WWII. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Rochester and the Honey Creek Civic Club. She loved all things Wisconsin and never met a cat she didn’t like.
Lila is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Merrill; sister, Jean Moyer; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Myrtle Dalton, Ruth Woods, and Dorothy Nelson; brothers-in-law Claude Dalton, Richard Woods, and Ray Moyer; and nephew David Woods.
Memorials can be made to the Honey Creek Civic Club.
A private celebration will be held for family only.
